What are the Observed Holidays for the Futures Market?
On Friday 4/3/26, the CME has a scheduled Market Holiday in observance of Good Friday.
Each product type may have a different close time. More information can be found below as well as a link to the CME Group Holiday Calendar.
Good Friday Scheduled Close dates/times per Product Group:
- Interest Rates: Friday, 4/3 close at 10:15am CT
- Energy: Thursday, 4/2 close at 4pm CT (normal close time on Thursday) - does not re-open for Friday, 4/3 trade day
- Equities: Friday, 4/3 close at 8:15am CT
- Grains: Thursday, 4/2 close at 1:30 pm CT (normal close time on Thursday) - does not re-open for Friday, 4/3 trade day
- FX: Friday, 4/3 close at 10:15am CT
- Metals: Thursday, 4/2 close at 4pm CT (normal close time on Thursday) - does not re-open for Friday, 4/3 trade day
- Livestock: Thursday, 4/2 close at 1:05 pm CT (normal close time on Thursday) - does not re-open for Friday, 4/3 trade day
- Crypto: Friday, 4/3 close at 10:15am CT
Futures markets observe certain U.S. federal holidays, during which trading hours may be shortened or markets may be fully closed.
