What are the Observed Holidays for the Futures Market?

On Monday 5/25/26, the CME has a scheduled Market Holiday in observance of Memorial Day.

Each product type may have a different close time. More information can be found below as well as a link to the CME Group Holiday Calendar.

Memorial Day Scheduled Close Dates/Times per Product Group:

  • Interest Rates: Monday, 5/25 pause at 12 PM CT, reopens 5 PM CT
  • Energy: Monday, 5/25, pause at 1:30 PM CT, reopens 5 PM CT
  • Equities: Monday, 5/25, pause at 12 PM CT, reopens at 5 PM CT
  • Grains: Sunday, 5/24, does not open. Monday, 5/25, opens at 7 PM CT
  • FX: Monday, 5/25, pause at 4 PM CT, reopens at 5 PM CT
  • Metals: Monday, 5/25 pause at 1:30 PM CT, reopens 5 PM CT
  • Livestock: Sunday, 5/24, does not open. Monday, 5/25, does not open. Tuesday, 5/26 opens at 8:30 AM CT
  • Crypto: Monday, 5/25, pause at 4 PM CT, reopens at 5 PM CT

Futures markets observe certain U.S. federal holidays, during which trading hours may be shortened or markets may be fully closed.
