Trading Tones

Trading Tones let you customize the sounds TopstepX plays when key trading events occur. You can use the built-in TopstepX sounds, or upload your own custom audio files for individual events.

Custom tones override the built-in sound for that event only — all other events continue to use their built-in sounds.

How to Access Trading Tones

  1. Click the Settings gear icon on the left sidebar.
  2. Select the Misc tab.
  3. Scroll to the Trading Tones section.

You can configure a custom tone for each of the following events:

Uploading a Custom Tone

  1. In the Trading Tones section, find the event you want to customize.
  2. Click the upload icon next to that event.
  3. Select an audio file from your computer. Supported formats: .mp3, .wav, .ogg, .m4a, .webm (maximum file size: 3 MB).
  4. The event row will update to confirm your custom tone is set.

Your custom tone will now play instead of the audio pack sound whenever that event occurs.

Previewing a Tone

Click the play icon next to any event to preview the sound currently configured for it.

Removing a Custom Tone

Click the delete (trash) icon next to an event to remove the custom tone. The event will revert to the built-in sound.

Notes

  • Custom tones only override the audio pack for the specific event they are assigned to.
  • Events with neither a custom tone nor a built-in sound configured will not play any audio when triggered.
